Today is Raksha Bandhan and it’s a Hindu festival celebrating the auspiciousness and bond among brothers and sisters. The term Raksha is synonymous with safety and Bandhan signifies bond. On this day, sisters are used to tying a thread or Rakhi on their brothers’ wrists while praying for the success and longevity of their brothers.
